Washington County is conveniently situated in the heart of Southern Illinois, less than 60 minutes from St. Louis, and is well known for its prime farmland and outstanding outdoor recreation. Nearby tourist attractions include the Washington County Conservation Area, Carlyle Lake, Rend Lake and The World Shooting Complex. The Washington County Conservation Area encompasses 1,277 acres of woods, glades and groves and features a 14 mile hiking trail. This natural habitat has a 248 acre lake and 13.3 miles of shoreline. The lake contains Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Sunfish, Crappie, and Channel Catfish.
The abundance of prime farm land, as well as major lakes in the area, create an ideal habitat for waterfowl, trophy whitetail deer and other small game. Waterfowl season opens mid to late November and generally runs through the end of January, offering sportsmen an opportunity to harvest waterfowl throughout most of the winter. The area also features some of the best whitetail deer and small game hunting in Southern Illinois.
All of the properties in this spectacular portfolio are available for public sale for the first time in over 50 years. The magnificent topography of our featured properties creates an ideal game hunting terrain. Best of all, our Washington County properties have not been hunted for more than four seasons.
